Taming the Giganotosaurus.
I had the pleasure of contributing to the Giganotosaurus sequence on Jurassic World Rebirth, a stretch of the film shared between three lighting TDs working in close coordination as most of the team was focusing on the other very sim heavy sequences. The challenge was continuity: weaving together live-action plates shot under wildly different lighting conditions with generated set extensions, and making the whole thing feel like a single, seamless moment in time.
It was a proper puzzle — matching light, shadow, and atmosphere across disparate sources so the audience never sees the seams, only the dinosaur. Getting it to breathe as one continuous sequence was hugely satisfying, and a real testament to the team effort behind it.
