It's a Messy Business

I had a great time working on It's a Messy Business, Lorie Rowan's short film at Nexus Studios, as an asset builder. Covering modelling, texturing, and look development across the production. Lorie has such a wonderful universe and a knack for genuinely funny, off-kilter characters, and getting to help bring them to life was a real joy.

It was a small team just four of us on the generalist side working at a fast pace and on a tight budget, but the end result more than punched above its weight and was picked up as a Vimeo Staff Pick.

The film also gave me the chance to contribute what remains, to this day, one of my proudest CG creations: a piece of glittery pink poop. One of those projects that reminds you how much fun this job can be.
